_________________________________________________________

亚玛力人把什么东西拿来给大卫?________________ 亚玛力人认为大卫会很___ ___。

大卫如何“奖赏”这位亚玛力人?____________________________

_________________________________________________________

. 大卫为什么如此行?________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

____________________________________________________________。从中,我们对大卫的认识有什么进步?__________________________

17-27节:大卫写了一首哀歌_______________________________。

大卫怎么样描述扫罗?____________________________________

十一 大卫怎么样描述约拿单?________________________________

_______________________________。

十二 大卫怎么样描述他与约拿单大友谊?________________________

________________________________________________________。

_________________________________

Dishonest Isaac & Jacob

By: Edward Short©

2 Samuel 1:  Another Account of the Death of King Saul

1.  Give in detail the report of Saul’s death told David by the Amalekite.

2. What is your reaction to how the Amalekite described Saul’s death?

3.  What items did the Amalekite bring and give to David?  The Amalekite expected David to be very h______.  I think the Amalekite expected that David would reward him.

4.  How did David “reward” the Amalekite?

5.  Why did David do this?

6.  Note:  Once again, David called King Saul “the Lord’s a_________.”  (In the Old Testament, this is a very important term; please remember it.)

7.  Another way of asking question number two above is, “Christians believe that the Bible does not contain contradictions.  It appears, however, that there is a contradiction between 1 Samuel 31 (where it is said that Saul killed himself) and 2 Samuel 1 (the description of Saul’s death as told by the Amalekite).  Please solve this problem.

8.  Vs. 11:  “…David took hold of his clothes and tore them…  They mourned and wept, and fasted…” (NRSV).   Saul was jealous of David, he attacked him and plotted to kill him.  How then could David mourn and weap and fast for Saul?  [Note: The Chinese is quoted from the New Chinese Version.]  How does this increase our understanding of David?

9.  17-27:  David wrote a lament for Saul and Jonathan, in which he [did what?].

10. How did David describe Saul?

11.  How did David describe Jonathan?

12.  How did David describe the friendship between Jonathan and himself?

13.  This lament is a typical example of how Hebrews wrote poetry.  Using this lament as an example, explain how Hebrews wrote poetry.
